For almost 20 years, Laura has been a Surety Bond Specialist as well as the Manager of Nielson, Mosholder & Associates in Sanford, Florida. Laura’s responsibilities include business growth and client satisfaction as well as staff training. With over 3 decades of surety experience, Laura’s duties include managing and continuing to build business for Nielson, Hoover & Company’s very successful Orlando based surety office, plus, overseeing NHC’s first of its kind online bond store, Suretegrity. Laura has experience with surety bond programs for contractors ranging from local start-ups to national companies in excess of $100 million.
Prior to joining Nielson, Mosholder & Associates, Laura was a Bond Manager and Vice President of Surety for a company in the Central Florida area. Her professional designations include AFSB.
Laura is an avid bicyclist with her focus on the MS 150 ride each year. Originally from Rhode Island, she now lives in St. Augustine, Florida with her family.

Edward is an experienced Surety Producer for Nielson, Hoover & Company. He possesses more than 35 years in the surety industry, working on both domestic and international bonds. He brings with him to NHC a proven background, having worked with the Continental Insurance Co. International Dept. in NYC and Los Angeles with territorial responsibility from San Diego to Seattle. His responsibilities also included supervising business on an H.O. level at USF & G in Canada, Mexico, Alaska, Hawaii and the Midwest and large account underwriting at USF & G. His clients included PCL, Huber, Hunt & Nichols, The Christman Co., Messer Construction and many others. Edward personally produced the Black & Veatch account, having written their first bond, as well as Burnes & McDonnell for USF & G.
Edward’s primary area of expertise is in surety bond underwriting, including large complex accounts. Prior to joining Nielson, Hoover & Company, he was transferred to South Florida where he produced and managed a $6.0MM book of business in Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic plus an additional $3.5MM of Florida business.
He is an active member in the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) of Central Florida, The Society of Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriters (CPCU), The Florida Surety Association (FSA), the Small Business Resource Network (SBRN), as well as a member of the Florida 8(a) Alliance.

Don is an experienced professional possessing more than forty years of experience in the surety industry. Prior to joining NHC, Don was Vice President of a large insurance and bonding agency located in the South East. After graduating with a Finance Degree from the University of Cincinnati and an MBA from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio, Don launched his surety career with Cincinnati Insurance in 1977. Throughout his successful career, Don has built a diversified book of business, including general contractors ranging in size from middle market to multi-million dollar firms, to all the trades involved in the construction industry. He is a licensed agent who has established valuable relationships with excellent contractors and outstanding sureties, as well as CPA’s, insurance agents and attorneys. Don’s clients have gained important insight and guidance thanks to his combined insurance and surety background.
In his free time Don enjoys golf, fishing, scuba diving and spending time with his wife of 30 years and two daughters. Originally from Ohio, he now lives in Ponce Inlet, Florida with his family.

Stephanie McCarthy, CSR Commercial Bond Specialist
As a Bond Administrator, Stephanie’s primary responsibilities include underwriting commercial surety bond programs, maintaining program underwriting guidelines and supporting Suretegrity, Nielson, Hoover & Company’s online bond store. Her main focus is providing exemplary customer service to retain and develop new business opportunities.
Stephanie has been in commercial surety for 15 years and maintains her 4-40 License. She began her career as an assistant working her way up to managing the Nielson, Mosholder & Associates’ commercial surety book of business and training others within her department.
She was an integral part of Suretegrity’s transition into a Nielson Hoover Group Company. She helped create procedures, forms and underwriting guidelines to reflect Nielson’s corporate philosophies. Stephanie continues to assist in the development of new bond programs as well as setting up new bond configurations.
Stephanie and her family moved to Florida in 2002 from New Hampshire to enjoy all that the Sunshine State has to offer.

Natalie Demers Contract Bond Specialist
With more than 15 years of industry experience, Natalie brings a wealth of knowledge to her role as a Bond Administrator for Nielson, Hoover & Company. She is a Certified Customer Service Representative and her daily responsibilities include a variety of office management duties. Prior to joining NHC, Natalie was in a supervisory role in the banking industry for more than 17 years and brings that knowledge and experience with her to NHC. She possesses a strong work ethic and the ability to multi-task. Natalie has also obtained her 440 License.
Natalie is dedicated to her community and has volunteered for many organizations over the years. She’s not one to shy away from helping others and truly believes in giving 110% in all she does. Natalie and her husband of more than 30 years reside in the Orlando, Florida area.

As the Technical Support Specialist for Nielson, Hoover & Company’s online bonding company, Suretegrity, Brian is responsible for maintaining the company’s comprehensive software system and customer support. Suretegrity is the first and only surety bond agency in the country with the technology to deliver all surety bond offerings instantly online. The online bonding process empowers the consumer to easily purchase surety bonds online, in minutes.
Brian has nearly 10 years of experience with commercial surety bonds and is a highly experienced administrator providing P&C agents nationwide with the right surety bond products for their clients. With his experience and knowledge of the companies surety software, Brian is responsible for making sure the Suretegrity system is running efficiently, training all staff and sub-agents on how to properly use the system as well as documenting and correcting any issues that may arise.
In addition, Brian also manages the online storefront to ensure it displays all surety products with the appropriate markets.
